Than you think, but is this wine still mature? Unfortunately, no one, even the best wine expert there is no single answer. 100% guarantee is impossible.
Important is, of course, how the wine is stored. Not too hot. Little light. No temperature fluctuations. Ideal is a cool, dark place. Then wine matures the slowest.
Do you still want to open the wine, then we recommend the following:
Leave the bottle 2-3 weeks stand up straight (can the sediment pockets)
Drink the wine at room temperature
A cork from an old bottle of wine can be porous.
Decanting the bottle (pour in a jug)
Some older wines can still be drunk, but to find out there is only one way: to uncork the bottle.
If you decide to uncork an old bottle of wine, we have the following advice for you:
Never store the wine in a refrigerator, preferably a wine cellar or climate cabinet.
Let the bottle stand for 2 weeks before use.
Capsule is very fragile and crumbles quickly. Use a good corkscrew.
Vintage wine is not considered as a product to be tasted, but as an emotion, think of memories of a past. It is primarily a collector’s work, with high antique value.
