The best place to store your wine is a wine cellar. Store your wine on temperatures around 12 degrees.
Key question: is the wine mature? There are fantastic wines that can be drunk into old age. No one can guarantee you or an old wine will be mature or not.
Only way to find out is to uncork the bottle.
Wenn You decide to drink the wine, then we recommend you:
Leave the bottle 2 weeks stand upright (sediment can then bags)
Hours in advance from the wine cellar (absolutely do not store in a refrigerator)
One wine expert says: wine decanting, the other says absolutely not (for oxygen which can affect the taste)
Use a waiter’s knife or a proper corkscrew. Preferably not the standard corkscrew from your kitchen drawer. The capsule of an old wine is fragile, and the “ordinary” corkscrew can completely breaking the capsule.
